As someone who remembers the death of Princess Diana the day it happened, this novel really takes me back and puts these events in a new perspective despite its fiction. Jack and Robin Firestone's clever "Chasing Diana" tells the Firestones' true story of a 1997 summer vacation yanked off course by the death of Princess Diana and subsequent media frenzy and official investigation, as spoken through the voices of the fictionalized Goodrich family - James, Rhonda, and son Ben. James is a struggling actor married to the trust fund-endowed Rhonda - a former actress turned wife and mom. Ben is an only child caught between two egos. As eyewitnesses to the immediate aftermath of the crash - driving in the opposing direction in the Alma Tunnel when they come upon the scene - the self-consciously cool Goodrichs must let go their knotted assortment of dysfunctionalities in order to protect themselves from a storm of interests that threatens to shipwreck them to get their story or else drown them to suppress it. The story is presented in screenplay format, thus without a safety net of character reflection, yet the action - which is relentless - provides all the motivational logic a reader needs. Pacing alternates between unexpected, frightening encounters in the airports and cities of Paris, London and New York, relieved by retreats to the Goodrich's hotel room where they go at each other as they try to sort out both what's immediately happening as well as their listless relationship. James' manager-brother David supplies fuel to the volatile mix in the form of cocaine and Hollywood bluster ("Willis's people wanna talk to you Jimbo"). The bad guys are out of your worst nightmare: brutal, resourceful, French, and dangerously, murderously inept. Both thugs and police want to get their hands on film on which they believe James has captured critical details of the scene. Not-so-bad guys are a New York neighbor couple with an agenda of their own and an amorous player from Rhonda's past re-emerging as a journalist after the story. For an absorbing 2-3 hours read "Chasing Diana". Continuity and suspense are sustained with sizzle up to an ironic close. That's right; close - not ending - because we leave the Goodrichs with their lives changed and a for-keeps future to live.

With 'Chasing Diana' the Firestones have given us a look into the private lives of an already challenged family thrown into the public eye. I was startled by the disfunction the main characters experienced, both privately and publicly. For people who were touched by Diana while she lived, this will likely be a book of great interest. This is the first screenplay I have ever read, but I caught on quickly. I applaud the Firestones on their willingness to publish this work. I don't think it was a casual decision for them to do so. Perhaps the screenplay will expand into a full feature film.

Wow, the day is finally here. Jack and I are very excited to announce to you, that we are officially published "authors!" Our book "Chasing Diana" has arrived.

Yesterday, we received the first printed copy, for proof purposes. Well, it is now ready to go to print. We pre ordered 100 copies which we will hopefully have in time for Hawaii. So many of you have requested signed copies of our book. We are filled with gratitude by your support and well wishes.

Our family knows the long, sometimes painful journey that we rode over the last 10 years, as a direct result of what we witnessed that horrible night. Thank you for your support through the very rough times.

Thank you, to Mr. Mohammed Al Fayed. When we finally met in December 2007, after the final inquest, we shared our tears, our anguish, and so much more. Jack and I will never, ever forget, the look in your eyes, when we all realized we shared the same vision for the quest for the truth. How sad, the full story still has yet to unfold. We will always hold a place for you in our hearts.

We want to also thank Brent Payne and Shane Krider. As a direct result of our experiences with Liberty League over the last 4 1/2 years, and utilizing the principles in Beyond Freedom, this is now a reality. After 10 years of trying in vain to bring the truth to the forefront, on December 3, 2007, the Firestones were finally called upon to give testimony in London at the Royal Courts of Justice for the "Coroner's Inquests into the Deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Mr. Dodi Al Fayed."

Perhaps the Firestones' testimony made a difference: unlike the two previous inquests, in April 2008 the third and final inquest jury found that Diana and Dodi were "unlawfully killed" due to the "gross negligence" of their driver Henri Paul and the paparazzi who relentlessly pursued them.

The 10th Anniversary of the Death Of Princess Diana 8/31/2007

After some pretty intense soul searching and journaling in my Beyond Freedom, I've decided to share something very close to my heart. This is personal, sensitive and still very painful for me to talk about. It took me 10 years to come to a point in my life where I am able to take this step. I just want to let you all know, that I truly believe I am ready now, because of my association with Liberty League International, the company that I joined on January 27th, 2004. For the last 3 1/2 years, I have had a very focused and incredible journey with Personal Development. That is what Liberty League is all about. Personal growth and development, resulting in major breakthroughs. My financial success with LLI came easily, it was my mindset and personal fears that took a little longer to change.

It is so hard to believe that it will be 10 years on August 31st 2007, that the lives of Princess Diana, Dodi Al Fayed, and their driver Henri Paul, were tragically taken from this world. It is still very difficult for me to talk about what we witnessed in Paris that unforgettable night. Indeed, I was a witness to the immediate aftermath of the horrific crash that took the lives of Princess Diana, Dodi Al Fayed and Henri Paul. We arrived in Paris earlier that day. I was in a taxi, in the Alma Tunnel with my husband Jack and our son Brandon that awful night. We were coming back from a breathtaking evening cruise on the Seine River, to see the beautiful "City of Lights." We did not see the actual crash. According to the French Police Detectives, we arrived on the scene approximately 2 1/2 to 3 minutes AFTER the actual crash. We did get there before the ambulance. What we saw was unimaginable. Our story is so painful, bizarre and ironic, certainly too long to go into on my blog. If you are interested in learning more of the truth, you can watch our recent selective interviews on television, as we have been contacted for the 10 year anniversary commemorating the Princesses' death. According to the producers at Greta Van Susteren's "On The Record," portions of our recent interview will be telecast during the next two Fridays at 10P - 11P EST, as follows: THIS FRIDAY: Friday, 8/24/07 (THIS IS THE "TIMELINE" EPISODE) a 2-3 minute portion during the A-B BLOCK (first portion of the show) a 6-7 minute portion during the D BLOCK (final 15 minutes of the show) ONE WEEK FROM THIS FRIDAY: Friday, 8/31/07 (THIS IS THE "CONSPIRACY" EPISODE)a "pretty big chunk" of time during the show (which is still being edited as we speak.) It's my understanding that this show will only contain the FIRESTONE's interview, and interviews with Michael Cole, the spokesperson of Mohamad Al Fayed, and Mohamad Al Fayed himself, the father of Dodi Al Fayed. This is a 3 part series which began last Friday. We will also be on the CBS Morning show next week. I will post the airtime when I myself know, but I think it will air on the 30th or 31st between 7 and 9 am. Excerpt from "Diana: the last dinner and fateful car crash" by MICHELE MANDEL, London Free Press:

"Travelling by cab in the opposite direction was American tourist Robin Firestone on her way back to her hotel.

"The car was absolutely mangled," she will recall when I reach her at her Long Island home. "There were a lot of paparazzi, a lot of flashing lightbulbs. There was just one officer in front of the car and he was in a pushing match with one of the photographers who wanted to get closer to take his pictures and in the meantime, another photographer had run around the two of them and lay on the front of the windshield and I saw him snapping away.

"I saw her body in the car," Firestone continues. "She was slumped over with her head turned into the window. It was a very, very sickening feeling and to see these photographers going up to the windshield to get as close as they could to take pictures of this person, it was relentless.

"There was no ambulance yet and the entrance hadn't been blocked off, which I found very strange."

As her taxi pulled away, Firestone remembers wondering why the bleeding woman was so important that the paparazzi would be clawing at each other to snap her photo.

It wasn't until the next morning she discovered who had been killed that night.

"Ten years ago, I just wanted to believe it was a horrible accident," says Firestone, who runs her own marketing business. "Now it smells like French bad cheese. It really just doesn't add up."

She saw two dark cars stopped ahead of the crushed Mercedes and a mysterious man talking on a cellphone. But no one seemed interested in what she witnessed. It wasn't until CNN called French investigators on her behalf that they reluctantly took her statement. And since then, despite two exhaustive investigations by both French and British police, no one has ever contacted her again about what she saw.

"It's still with me," she says. "It's haunting and it's never going to go away. Everything led me into being in that tunnel that night. Why? Maybe there was something I saw that they didn't want to come out. Now, I'm afraid not to talk. I think, it took me 10 years to be able to get something done about this. I have to."

So naturally, she got herself an agent and is writing a book."

The Truth About The Night Diana Died

August 31, 1997 - The Day Our Lives Changed Forever

I believe that everything happens for a reason. There are no coincidences. On August 31, 1997, our lives changed forever, you remember, this was the day that Diana, Princess of Wales lost her life.

We were there, two American tourists; we saw the accident scene right after it happened, yes, us, Robin and Jack Firestone along with our Son Brandon who was 12 at the time.

This Blog is going to be a source for a collection of information that we have found on the Internet, that we believe contains accurate information and accounts of what happened the night Diana, Princess of Wales died.

This Blog will also hopefully provide a solution and opportunity to release the pain that so many people (including ourselves) feel and felt when this tragic event occurred.

It took us the last ten years to get over the pain of that night. It took our own desire, along with the assistance of a simple program that improved our lives both emotionally and financially forever.

All we were looking for was a solution to our own problem; a way to eliminate the emotional suffering we endured when we witnessed a segment of the tragic events that transpired the night Diana, Princess of Wales, died Inside The Pont De l`Alma Tunnel.

The Program we have found has helped us and we believe will also help you, to one day find happiness and peace in your life again as well.
